How long will the research take?
Research timelines vary depending on the complexity of your case and the amount of available DNA and historical records. Some cases can be resolved within a few weeks, while others may require several months of careful analysis
What if my matches don’t make sense or seem wrong?
This happens more often than people realize. I help sort through unexpected or confusing results and explain what they may mean.
Can you guarantee you will find my biological parent?
Genetic genealogy is a complex technique, and no ethical professional can promise success. I can, however, promise expert analysis and good communication about what can be accomplished in your specific situationenetic genealogy is a complex technique, and no ethical professional can promise success. Which DNA Testing Company Should I Use?
In the United States, the most testers are on AncestryDNA and 23andMe, which makes these sites especially good for finding close relatives.
If you or your ancestors have a majority European heritage or have family living abroad, MyHeritage has a huge global membership and can be very beneficial to connect with those relatives.
In most cases, I would suggest that you take the AncestryDNA test first since it has the largest DNA database, which is very useful in finding good relatives, especially for adoptees who may want to know information about unknown parents.
If you have already done a DNA test, I can help you determine whether you should do further testing or transfer your results to other sites.
